I’m a multimedia journalist. I believe that some mediums are better at telling a specific story compared to others, so I’ve honed my skills in writing and photography. I wrote and took pictures for Concordia’s student-run newspaper, The Concordian, and the website of the college.
After living in Spain for five months, I was exposed to the vastness of the depth of storytelling. I found stories in every situation I fell in – the Scottish man who fell in love with a Spanish woman and moved to Spain to be with her while opening up a coffeeshop, the experiences of a Brazilian student who was studying engineering in Ireland, the economic woes of Spain as 40 year-olds are still living with their parents. Traveling to 10 new countries, taking classes as the only foreign exchange student, and working at a local newspaper displayed how ubiquitous stories are, it is what makes us human.
As I pursue my career, I plan to combine my passion to share stories with traveling. I live in the Midwest, but I am more than willing to move. Please contact me if you would like to collaborate or hear more about my experiences.
